Dr. Wiet is a highly gifted speaker who remains personable with academic, medical, public, and multidisciplinary audiences alike. She synthesizes her years of clinical expertise and academic study on the neurobiology of trauma and resiliency, as well as addiction, to provide compelling and succinct presentations. She readily simplifies complex neurobiological and genetic processes into easy-to-understand terms. She is an invited lecturer for numerous conferences locally, state-wide, nationally, and internationally.
In 2014, Dr. Wiet founded the Trauma-Resiliency Collaborative (TRC), because of her work with clients whose lives had been deeply affected by the effects of unresolved and unidentified trauma. The TRC is a community-based multidisciplinary group that aims to increase awareness about the serious effects of psychological trauma and the importance of resiliency skills. Resilience is critical for the health and well-being of individuals, communities, or corporations. The TRC periodically produces educational symposium for the professional communities and provides a forum to link established organizations, providers, and special-interest projects with this common mission.
